The Power of Positive Thinking: Essay

Positive thinking is the belief that good things will happen and that one’s efforts will be crowned with success. It is something diametrically opposed to negative thinking which is being fearful, apprehensive and unsure of success in efforts. Positive thinking is based on optimism, hope and belief that hard work is never wasted. 
The effects of positive thinking are magical. Psychologists believe that nothing gears up people to make whole-hearted efforts to perform some task as positive thinking. Your mind is a computer that can be programmed. You can choose whether the software installed is productive or unproductive. Your inner dialogue is the software that programs your attitude, which determines how you present yourself to the world around you. You have control over the programming. Whatever you put into it is reflected in what comes out. Positive attitude might be the key to all the people who want to fulfill their dreams. If everyone would apply these concepts in their lives, they would become happier because they will see that everything, including their life, situations, and problems, is under their own control. Positive thinking is an optimistic state of mind that always sees the bright side of life and focuses on the glass being half full instead of half empty. Positive thinking is a mental attitude that produces constructive results. Positive thinking brings inner satisfaction, happiness, peace and better health; improves relationships and attracts success into your life. While we all have this powerful tool, many of us are not aware of it.

The role of teachers in building the confidence of students and telling them about the importance of positive thinking is also vital; the teachers encourage hard work by appreciating and rewarding those who make it. Positive thinking is the cause of success and happiness. Positive thinkers will look at circumstances realistically, search for ways to improve a situation, and try to learn from their experiences. Positive thinking helps you cope more easily with the daily affairs of life. It brings optimism into your life, and makes it easier to avoid worries and negative thinking. If you adopt positive thinking, it will bring constructive changes into your life, and make experiences happier, brighter and more successful. Choose to be positive. You'll feel better, make others feel better, and, you'll look younger too!
